All about outdoor heating

Pellet stoves for your garden and patio

A FireRocket is an outdoor pellet stove that combines warmth with the atmosphere of a tall, vertical flame. It burns wood pellets and needs no mains electricity or connected gas cylinder while burning. This gives you flexibility to position it in a suitable place in the garden, on the patio or under a well-ventilated canopy.

Our models are intended as outdoor stoves and patio heaters. They are not a replacement for a pellet stove that heats a home, and they have no fan, thermostat, app, feed auger or connection to a central heating system.

How does an outdoor pellet stove work without electricity?

The operation is deliberately simple:

  1. Fill the hopper with suitable wood pellets.
  2. Light the wood pellets through the opening at the bottom.
  3. Let the flame stabilise. Natural draught supplies oxygen to the fire, and a tall vertical flame forms after a few minutes. The glass tube shields the visible flame and lets you feel the warmth around the stove.

Because the FireRocket works without electricity, there is no need for cables, electric fans or electronic controls. You mainly hear the natural combustion of the wood pellets. A separate gas cylinder is not needed as a fuel supply either; a gas torch is used only to light the wood pellets and is not included.

Why choose a wood-pellet patio heater?

No mains electricity or connected gas cylinder while burning

The stove runs independently on wood pellets. No power cable or gas cylinder needs to be connected while it is burning.

Warmth and atmosphere

The vertical flame not only provides direct warmth around the stove, but also makes an eye-catching feature on the patio.

Easy to reposition

The models have wheels, making it easier to move a fully cooled stove and put it away somewhere dry.

Simple fuel

Wood pellets are compact and easy to store in a dry place. Good-quality wood pellets help keep combustion more stable and generally produce less ash and visible smoke.

Which FireRocket pellet stove suits your outdoor space?

The right choice mainly depends on the available space, the burn time you want and the flame display. Always check the current stock and price on the product page.

Which wood pellets do you use in a FireRocket?

For an attractive, predictable flame, we recommend good-quality dry ENplus A1 wood pellets. An even diameter, low moisture content and little dust in the bag help maintain a stable airflow and combustion. Damp or crumbly wood pellets can produce more smoke, ash and deposits.

Always keep opened bags dry and protected from moisture. Use only the fuel and quantity recommended for your model. You can carefully add wood pellets while the stove is burning, following your model’s manual. Do not touch hot parts around the filling opening, avoid spills and keep the wood-pellet bag at a safe distance from the stove.

Enjoying a pellet stove safely on your patio

Place the FireRocket on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from combustible materials, overhanging plants, furniture and other obstacles. Use the stove only outdoors or under a generously ventilated canopy, never in a fully enclosed space.

Glass and metal parts become very hot while the stove is burning. Never leave the stove burning unattended, do not touch it, and keep children and pets at a safe distance. Move, clean or store the stove only when it is completely extinguished and cooled. Before each use, check that the glass and fittings are undamaged.

Maintenance and storage

Remove cold ash and combustion residue regularly to keep the air openings clear. Clean the fully cooled glass tube with a soft cloth or kitchen paper and a suitable glass cleaner. Do not use abrasive products, and avoid exposing the glass to large temperature changes.

An outdoor stove is not the same as a stove that can stay outside indefinitely. Store the FireRocket somewhere dry after it has fully cooled, indoors or under a dry canopy. This helps limit moisture, rust and weather damage and keeps the stove looking good for longer.
